Liu Renhuai, a native of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, is an expert in analysis and application of plate and shell structure and an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering. Graduated from Lanzhou University in 1963, he was the former Professor and President of Jinan University. Nowadays, he is the Executive Vice President of Macao University of Science and Technology, Chairman of Chinese Society for Vibration Engineering, Vice Chairman of Chinese Society for Multiple Materials, and Director of Management Science Department of Science and Technology Committee of Ministry of Education.
From September of 1958 to July of 1960, he studied the major of Mathematics at Department of Mathematics of Lanzhou University.
From September of 1960 to July of 1963, he studied the major of Mechanics at Department of Mechanics of Lanzhou University (the first Solid Mechanics class).
From August of 1963 to March of 1978, he was an assistant Professor of Department of Mathematics of Lanzhou University.
In 1999, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering .
In September of 2000, he was elected as one of the first academicians of Engineering Management Department of Chinese Academy of Engineering.
